BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Patient Access Rep opportunity in Dyer, IN 46311

Role: Patient Access Rep

Location: Dyer, IN 46311

Expected Duration: 3+ Months possible of extension

Start date: ASAP


Enter insurance policy number, group number, address, and telephone numbers.

Verbally interview patient and/or family in order to obtain registration information.

Enter patient billing and clinical data.

Identify co-payment procedures and fiscal procedures related to registration procedures.

Complete computer and telephone pre-registrations to maintain patient flow.

Unit Profiles :

The purpose of a unit profile is to help provide an exceptional understanding of the unit. Profiles will include location, number of beds, patient rations, and other unique details to assist recruiting professional in effectively and efficiently identifying highly qualified staff. Below you will find a data collection tool to help you identify essential data needed to complete your profile.



Cant be shy - The emergency room patients and drs have strong personalities.

Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

Black comfortable shoes no open toe

Black slacks- not too form fitting - No jeans

Solid color shirts, white, Blue, Black. Sleeves cant be cut off at the shoulder

Black Cardigans are allowed

Hair kept

Nails of reasonable length - working in the ER can trap germs underneath.

Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines .

HIPAA - protect and keep private all dealings with patients and their personal health information


Preferred experience:

Give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times.

Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

Careful attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks.

Adjust to situations involving repetitive, short-cycle operations carried out according to established standards and procedures.

Maintain composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations.
