Since 1967, Maplehurst Bakeries is proud to have become one of our nation's largest bakeries dedicated to the highest quality bakery product available.We are currently seeking Sanitation Team Members on 2nd and 3rd shift who can work weekends as well as other days through the week (Work-Life Balance Schedule).PURPOSE:To ensure sanitation of entire plant within Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and government standards.Job Responsibilities: Perform and guide production equipment cleaningSupport new employees training to perform effective cleaningAdhere to safety policyPerform sanitation audit pertaining to different areasAbility to understand SOP'sSupport Quality and Production departments during inspectionAbility to perform sanitation risk assessmentUnderstand HACCP, GMP, SSOP, SDSMaintain the plant sanitation daily readiness for visitors and auditsAbility to perform a root cause analysisAbility to understand chemicals and their function/applicationAbility to inspect equipment after sanitationMust be a team player QUALIFICATIONS:The position requires that an employee be capable of the following: HS Diploma/GED or Associate's Degree in Chemistry, Food Science or Technology.Sanitation Experience: 1-2 YearsMust be able to lift up to 50#Prior food manufacturing experience or exposure a plusComputer Skills: Word, Outlook, ExcelMust be able to work independently with minimum supervisionMust be able to work in Hot and Cold environmentsMust be able to work with chemicals following SOP's/SDSMust be able to work at heights up to 80 feetMust be flexible w/Work ScheduleMust be okay with getting wet and working at great heights TRAINING:You will have to complete the following once employed: OSHA required safety training GMP Awareness Other topical training as determined by the company
