Temporary assignment - working full-time (up to 40 hours per week) to complete work through project completion. Project length is estimated to last one full year depending on COVID-19 testing being done in diagnostic laboratory.

The Donor Eligibility Office
Assistant role exists to process donor notifications and health department
reports resulting from Sars-CoViD-19 testing.
The Office Assistant is expected to learn multiple computer systems for
the purpose of looking up donor demographics and generating notifications to
donors expediently. The Office Assistant
is expected to learn various state health department reporting requirements and
accomplish notifications accurately and within required timeframes.
What you will do:
  • Notify
    all donors with positive COVID-19 within 24 hours of test result receipt.
  • Notify
    relevant health department of all COVID-19 positive donors within 24 hours of
    test result receipt.
  • Appropriately
    maintain and store reports and notifications dependent upon state of
    donation.
  • Assist
    in additional follow-up needs of donor or health department pertinent to the
    positive test result.
  • Maintains
    required records, reports, and files pertaining to areas of responsibility.
  • Completes
    data entry and word processing assignments pertinent to the donor notification
    process and timeline.
Other Responsibilities Include:
  • Assists
    with department mailings, collating, stuffing, and labeling materials.
  • Performs
    photocopying, faxing, and incidental typing.
  • Maintains
    the customer service standards of the department and Versiti.
  • Responsible
    for maintaining strict confidentiality of information and records at all times.
When you will
work:
  • Days/Hours: Monday Friday 9:00AM to
    5:30PM
  • Training schedule will be on same shift
  • Non-exempt, Full-time
  • Casual employee working up to 40 hours per week as needed to
    complete work through project completion (1 year project length)

What you will need:
  • High
    School Diploma or GED required
  • One
    year of relevant office experience preferred

    management skills; ability to organize work to provide productive workflow
  • Must
    have basic mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability
    to apply judgment to written or oral instructions.

    Word, Excel and other EHR platforms

    training on the job.

    to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety
    rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals.
